Pretoria’s Premier Ballroom, Latin & Line Dance Studio

Where Confidence, Connection & Dance Come Together

Dance Junction is a vibrant dance studio offering Ballroom, Latin, Line Dancing, Country Couples and Sokkie classes in Pretoria North, Montana, Centurion and Bronkhorstspruit. With experienced instructors, internationally recognized syllabi and a welcoming community, we help beginners, social dancers and competitive performers build confidence, skill and connection through dance.

About Us

Founded in 2007 and rooted in Pretoria North—with studios also in Montana and Cullinan—Dance Junction is more than a dance school; it’s a vibrant community where passion, excellence, and creativity come together on the dance floor. We offer a full spectrum of dance classes, ranging from elegant Ballroom and fiery Latin styles to high-energy Line Dancing and soulful Country Couples. Our training is backed by internationally recognized syllabi: we follow the DanceVision approach for American Smooth & Rhythm (as well as International Ballroom and Latin techniques) and rely on the UCWDC syllabus to guide our Line Dancing and Country Couples programs.

At Dance Junction, our mission is to inspire every student—whether a first-timer or an aspiring competitor—to find their rhythm and express themselves with confidence. Our passionate, certified instructors serve not just as teachers but as mentors and movement coaches, tailoring lessons to both social dancers and competitive students. With a focus on structured learning and a genuine love of dance, we transform every class into a memorable experience.

Beyond the classroom, we foster a supportive environment with regular social events, themed workshops, competitions, and community outreach projects that celebrate dance as a way to connect, uplift, and inspire. Join us at Dance Junction, and discover why we’re recognized as one of the leading dance studios in Pretoria.

The Story of Dance Junction

The rhythm of Dance Junction began with Leon, our founder and principal instructor, whose professional dance journey took flight at Fred Astaire South Africa. With a passion for excellence, Leon achieved a remarkable range of certifications including Associate, Associate Major, Specialist, Dance Director, and Adjudicator in both Latin and Ballroom. His talent and dedication led him to teach at several Fred Astaire studios until 2007, when he opened Fred Astaire Pretoria North. In 2012, the studio evolved and rebranded as Dance Junction — a name that now resonates throughout Pretoria’s dance community.

Beyond his Fred Astaire roots, Leon also earned additional qualifications from top international bodies such as the IDTA (Latin Associate) and SADF (Latin Associate). His contributions to South African dance extend beyond the studio — he served on both the SADF Gauteng Committee and Board of Directors, playing a key role in shaping the dance industry.

Leon’s competitive career is equally impressive. He was a four-time Fred Astaire Professional Champion in Latin and Ballroom, represented South Africa at the World Dance Sport Federation Championships in Brussels, and competed for five years in the prestigious FEDANSA Blackpool International Dance Festival in the UK.

As the studio grew, Leon expanded Dance Junction’s offerings to include Country and Line Dancing, following the official UCWDC syllabus, with classes now held in Pretoria North, Montana, Bronkhorstspruit and Centurion. Leon is joined by a talented and qualified team who share his passion for excellence and student growth. Werner, part of Dance Junction since 2012, is a certified Associate in Latin & Ballroom, known for his encouraging teaching style and technical knowledge. Neil is also a qualified Associate in Latin & Ballroom and a two-time FEDANSA SA Latin Champion. He brings creativity and flair to the studio, specializing in wedding dance choreography and special performance routines that leave lasting memories.
